#隐私技术解决方案 Seeing the news that Horizen is restarting its Mainnet on Base, I thought of a commonly overlooked mindset issue in investing.

The privacy track has experienced quite a bit of turbulence over the years, from the early days of rampant growth to regulatory pressure, and now exploring a "compliant and feasible" route—this evolution process actually illustrates a lot. Horizen's transformation from ZenCash to its current state, choosing a selective disclosure compromise, shows that mature projects have learned to compromise for long-term survival.

There are two points worth considering for us. First, do not be dazzled by the halo of new concepts—Layer 3 networks and privacy technologies sound cutting-edge, but the underlying logic still needs to stand scrutiny. Factors like team collaboration and infrastructure, as well as regulatory attitudes, often play a more decisive role than these "boring" factors. Second, the old adage about position management—even if you are optimistic about a certain direction, in a field full of uncertainties, you should leave yourself enough safety space.

The developer funding plan of 100 million ZEN sounds grand, but how many applications can actually be implemented needs time to verify. This does not mean to completely avoid it, but rather to have a long-term mindset — give yourself time and also give the project time, and participate within a stable allocation framework.
