I saw people on the forum saying that the USDT price is dropping, but that's not actually the case. The price of USDT is still one dollar. It's just that the RMB has been appreciating recently. Right now, one US dollar only exchanges for 7.06 RMB, which was the high point on December 5th. Also, possibly due to some characteristics of USDT, S&P 500 downgraded its rating, so that might have a slight impact, but not much, since its collateralization ratio is still 103.6%, which is above 100%. It's just a bit lower than the previous 106%. Additionally, Tether is moving its domicile from the British Virgin Islands to El Salvador, where regulation may be looser, but for the crypto community, El Salvador might be a more friendly place.
