OpenAI CEO unveils GPT-4.5 and GPT-5 roadmap, expected to be released in the coming weeks or months

PANews reported on February 13th that according to the roadmap of GPT-4.5 and GPT-5 released by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, GPT-4.5 (internal codenamed Orion) will be the final non-‘Chain-of-Thought’ model from OpenAI, expected to be released in the coming weeks or months. Following that, OpenAI will integrate the o-series with the GPT series models to make them smarter in tool usage and adaptable to different task requirements. GPT-5 will combine the o3 model, and integrate functions such as voice, Canvas, search, and in-depth research. Free users of ChatGPT will be able to use the standard intelligent version of GPT-5 without restrictions, while Plus and Pro users can access higher levels of intelligence of GPT-5.
