A certain CEX warning: The token labeled as "BTC" on the TON network is a scam token, and it is assisting users in dealing with it.

TON-3,29%
BTC-3,94%

Gate News: On March 18, a certain CEX responded to user inquiries, stating that Bitcoin does not operate on the TON network and cannot be recharged through TON; the assets transferred by users are tokens labeled “BTC” on the TON network, not native Bitcoin. Additionally, this “BTC” version on TON has been marked as a scam token by multiple third-party blockchain explorers. Although such assets are not within the platform’s regular handling scope, the exchange stated it is attempting to assist users in recovering their assets. However, due to the involvement of scam-marked tokens, the process will be more complex and take longer. Users are also reminded to stay vigilant when interacting with on-chain assets to avoid misoperations and scam token risks.
