Russia has lifted restrictions on BestChange, a platform that aggregates data from cryptocurrency exchanges, after more than three months of being banned from access. The decision was made by the Central Bank of Russia (CBR), after BestChange agreed to hide some content related to foreign exchange transactions in rubles and international payment systems such as Alipay. Previously, Roskomnadzor – the media oversight agency – had repeatedly blocked this platform in the years 2017, 2019, 2020, and early 2025. BestChange asserts that the changes only apply to users in Russia, while the service continues to operate normally for global users. Despite being unblocked, the company warns that new legal amendments in Russia could pose risks to cryptocurrency traders engaging in peer-to-peer transactions, including the potential for account and transaction freezes.
