People always ask me why the on-chain data seems to “stutter” or “freeze” for a moment. Actually, it might not be the chain itself getting stuck—in many cases, it’s the layer you’re looking at that’s gasping for breath. With Subgraph/indexers, you first have to break blocks down and feed them into the database; if there are node reorganizations or a surge in events, they’ll fall behind by a few minutes.
