Why are many developed countries built on a foundation of integrity? For example: in a supermarket in the United States, if you want to buy an Apple computer and deliberately remove a sticker of an apple (fruit) and stick it on the computer box, then go through the self-checkout lane and get a receipt showing $2.00. When security at the door sees the receipt and the computer, their first instinct is to think that the supermarket staff mistakenly stuck the wrong label or that it was part of a promotion organized by the store. The security guard simply says: "Congratulations, you're very lucky." rather than immediately suspecting that you swapped the labels.
