According to a report by Jinse Caijing, Taproot Wizards, a project of BTCOrdinals, raised $30 million in its first round of financing after the seed round, according to an announcement released on Tuesday. Udi Wertheimer, co-founder of the project, said that this financing, like the previous $7.5 million round, is also aimed at further promoting the project to make BTC magical again. The name Taproot Wizards comes from a memo called ‘BTC Wizard’ created with MS Paint. This memo is an early independent advertisement for ‘Magical Internet Currency’ and an upgraded version of Taproot that extends the functionality of BTC. This round of financing was led by Standard Crypto, an early supporter of Taproot Wizards, with participation from Cyberfund, Collider Ventures, and other institutions.
