Harris' allies warned: Opinion polls are too optimistic.
On August 20, Jinshi Data reported that the founder of the main external spending organization supporting Harris’s campaign for the U.S. president said that their own opinion polls are not as ‘optimistic’ as other opinion polls have shown, and warned that Democrats face much more intense competition in swing states. Mike McClain, chairman of the Harris Super Political Action Committee ‘Future Forward’, said the committee has raised hundreds of millions of dollars to support Harris’s participation in the election on November 5. ‘Our data is far less optimistic than what you see in public,’ said McClain, who rarely speaks publicly. McClain said that in the organization’s analysis, Pennsylvania is still the most important state, and he referred to this election as a ‘coin toss’. Harris must win one of the three states of Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Georgia in order to enter the White House. McClain said the competition is as fierce as ever.
