In a momentous development, the widely acclaimed XRPL wallet, Xumm, has undergone a transformative rebranding, emerging as Xaman and bringing forth several enhancements. XRPL Labs, the mastermind behind Xumm, unveiled significant updates on Monday, encompassing not only a comprehensive rebrand from Xumm to Xaman but also an extensive integration with the Xahau Network chain, layered atop the XRP Ledger.

The latest upgrade, marked by version 2.6.0, extends beyond a mere alteration of brand name and identity. It signifies a noteworthy initiative by the XRPL Labs team to incorporate the Xahau Network chain, adding a layer to the XRP Ledger that facilitates smart contract functionality. This integration opens new avenues for developers to construct decentralized applications (dApps) within the XRP eco.

Users of the XRPL can seamlessly access the newly introduced Xaman wallet through their respective app stores. The deployment strategy for this update involves a phased rollout approach, with the Xaman team opting for a random selection of users to receive the update gradually over a week. The Xumm wallet also underwent some key developments earlier this year. Back in October 2023, Xumm wallet attained a major milestone with active global users crossing 600,000.
