Worldcoin, a crypto project led by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, is in advanced talks for a new round of financing worth around $100 million, backed by both existing and new investors. The project, which is still in beta, is preparing for its official launch in the next six weeks. It has already attracted venture capital firms Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) and Khosla Ventures, and is now migrating its World App wallet and World ID protocol to Ethereum's layer-2 scaling solution Optimism.
