On February 14th, Jinshi data, China Merchants Port announced that the total number of containers in January 2025 was 17.62 million TEUs, a rise of 7.2% year-on-year. Among them, the mainland terminals were 14.037 million TEUs, up 7.7% year-on-year; overseas terminals were 3.074 million TEUs, up 5.9% year-on-year. The total tonnage of general cargo was 112 million tons, down 2.6% year-on-year. Among them, the mainland terminals were 111 million tons, down 2.6% year-on-year; overseas terminals were 734,000 tons, down 7.9% year-on-year.
