The Eastern Theater Command conducts exercises to seal off Taiwan's major ports.

Jinshi Data News on October 14th, the Eastern Theater Command jointly conducted the Sword 2024B exercise, directly targeting Taiwan independence. According to Professor Zhang Chi of the National Defense University, the exercise practiced blocking some major ports in Taiwan. The throughput of these ports accounts for the majority of the entire Taiwan region and is also the main channel for Taiwan’s imports of liquefied natural gas. Through the exercise, it was demonstrated that we have the capability to block Taiwan’s energy imports, thereby causing significant impact on Taiwan’s economy and society.
