**Facebook Creator Can Monetize Their Content and Get Paid Using USDC**

Meta Platforms, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, has begun rolling out a payment scheme for content creators on its social media using the stablecoin USD Coin (USDC).

The system is processed through Stripe. However, unfortunately, this monetization scheme is currently only available in countries such as Colombia and the Philippines, with support from the Solana-Polygon network.

This scheme is designed to speed up cross-border payments while cutting transfer costs compared with traditional fiat methods. Using stablecoins also helps reduce exchange-rate friction in global monetization for creators.

Previously, the company had tried its own crypto project called Libra and later changed it to Diem, but opposition from authorities in the United States (U.S.) and Europe ended those efforts. However, Meta is now using third-party stablecoins to strengthen the creator economy on its platform.
