Claude Code adds the /btw sidechain dialogue feature, enabling users to ask questions without interrupting the task.
Mars Finance News, March 11 — Developer Lydia Hallie announced that Claude now supports a new feature that allows users to quickly ask questions within the current session without interrupting the main task. The feature is implemented through a new command /btw, introduced by developer Thariq. Users can initiate side-chain conversations to ask temporary questions while Claude is performing a task. This mode is read-only, does not invoke tools, and does not write to the main conversation history; once the user closes the window, the related responses will automatically disappear.
