Tennessee Signs Bitcoin ATM Ban, Gives 651 Kiosks Until July 1
Tennessee signed a law that makes owning or operating Bitcoin and crypto ATMs a criminal offense, giving the state’s 651 kiosks until July 1 to shut down. House Bill 2505, signed by Governor Bill Lee on April 13, classifies violations as a Class A misdemeanor. FBI numbers released this month show Americans over 60 lost $257 million to Bitcoin ATM scams last year.
