ME News update: On April 7 (UTC+8), there is uncertainty regarding the confirmation timeline for Kevin Wosch’s nomination for the Federal Reserve Chair, because major Republican senators oppose advancing his nomination while the current Chair, Powell, is still under investigation. William Williams, President of the New York Fed and Vice Chairman of the Federal Reserve Policy Committee, said that this kind of uncertainty is not an issue for the Federal Reserve. Earlier this year, the Federal Open Market Committee voted to have Powell serve as Chair of the Policy Committee, and until Wosch is confirmed to succeed him, Powell may continue to hold this position. Williams said that we are simply focused on doing our own work. The committee does not have problems like continuity. ( Jin ) (Source: ODAILY)
