Tesla's Voice Model Service in China Registered, Integrating Doubao and DeepSeek
According to monitoring by Dongcha Beating, the Shanghai Cyberspace Administration announced that Tesla (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.'s “Vehicle Voice Large Model Service” completed its generative AI service registration on April 20. The terms of use for Tesla’s voice assistant, previously released on Tesla China’s official website, disclosed the division of responsibilities: the Model Y L will be equipped with the Doubao large model and the DeepSeek model, both accessed via the Volcano Engine encrypted API. Doubao will handle voice commands, covering navigation settings, media playback, air conditioning temperature adjustments, and owner manual inquiries; DeepSeek will be responsible for AI interactions, used for casual conversations, news inquiries, and weather updates. The completion of registration indicates that the compliance process has been completed, but the specific OTA push time and applicable vehicle models have not yet been announced.
