#WCTC交易王PK WCTC S8 “Trading King” 1v1 PK: A Fast-Paced Battle with an 8 Million USD Prize Pool

Gate.io celebrates its 13th anniversary by officially launching the WCTC S8 (World Crypto Trading Competition) global trading contest on April 23. The total prize pool for this event reaches 8 million USDT, with the highly anticipated “Trading King” 1v1 PK competition alone featuring a prize pool of up to 1.6 million USDT, aiming to select top traders through high-intensity real-time duels.

Competition Rules: Fast-Paced Yield Rate Battles

Unlike traditional team competitions (maximum 3.6 million USDT prize pool) and individual contests (maximum 2 million USDT prize pool), the 1v1 PK race tests contestants’ on-the-spot reaction and risk control abilities:

Matching Mechanism: The system automatically pairs opponents with similar strength for one-on-one battles.

Win/Loss Determination: Each match is limited to 2 hours; the trader with the higher yield during the period wins.

Hard Threshold: Each trade must be at least 100 USDT; otherwise, the participant is automatically disqualified. Participants must be newly registered users or first-time contract traders and must complete the WCTC event registration.

Trading Instruments and Scoring Strategy

The event covers USDT-based spot trading, ETFs, flash swaps, perpetual contracts, and some TradFi (traditional finance) trading pairs on the Gate platform. Notably, spot/ETF trading volume carries a 1.5x scoring weight, providing a unique ranking advantage for traders who prefer spot trading. The PK competition mainly ranks participants dynamically based on yield rate and effective trading volume to share the prize pool.

Current Schedule Status

As of April 24, the competition has entered the official contest phase (April 23 – May 20). Registration channels closed on April 23. Participants are currently accumulating wins through high-frequency 1v1 duels, competing for the “Trading King” title and the corresponding share of the million-level prize pool.

Risk Reminder: The PK race is extremely fast-paced. High-leverage contract trading within a 2-hour short cycle is easily affected by market fluctuations and carries a rapid liquidation risk. Participants must strictly set stop-loss orders to avoid blindly opening positions in pursuit of rankings.
