CoinWorld News: OpenAI Codex has added browser operation functionality, allowing the coding agent to control the browser inside the app. After developers have Codex generate frontend code, Codex can automatically open the built-in browser, click the rendered UI like a real person, and discover and fix bugs using visual input from the screen as well as network/console logs, without requiring developers to manually switch out to verify. This feature runs via Codex’s built-in browser plugin, and users can manage the lists of websites allowed and blocked in Settings. OpenAI Codex engineer James Sun said this update brings Codex “closer to a fully automated coding agent capable of delivering high-quality, tested code changes.”
