Today, the domestic soda ash market is largely stable with minor fluctuations, and overall trading remains subdued. As of now, in North China, the mainstream quotes for light soda ash are maintained at 1,220-1,300 yuan/ton, while the price range for dense soda ash is 1,250-1,320 yuan/ton. In East China, light soda ash is priced at 1,170-1,570 yuan/ton, and the mainstream price for dense soda ash is 1,250-1,320 yuan/ton. On the supply side, the soda ash units of Henan Zhongyuan and Jiangsu Jingshen are operating at reduced rates, resulting in a slight tightening of overall industry supply. On the demand side, performance is neither hot nor cold; downstream companies mainly purchase primarily on low-price just-in-need demand. Factory inventories show a slight de-stocking trend.
