Abstract generation in progress

AIMPACT News, April 24 (UTC+8), according to Beating Monitoring, the open-source code editor Zed has launched the Parallel Agents feature, supporting multiple AI agent threads running simultaneously within the same window. Each thread can independently select different agents and is compatible with third-party agents such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot CLI, Gemini CLI, through Zed’s Agent Client Protocol (ACP). The new Threads Sidebar panel groups all threads by project and allows one-click to start, stop, and archive them. Each thread supports independent workspace permissions, enabling developers to decide which folders and repositories are visible to specific agents, and allowing a thread to read and write across repositories. Zed claims to maintain 120fps smoothness even under stress testing with hundreds of threads. The feature has been released with the latest version and is fully open source. (Source: BlockBeats)
