Romania's main ruling party withdraws support for Prime Minister Bolojan

The Social Democratic Party, the largest party in Romania’s ruling coalition, passed a resolution on the 20th to withdraw support for Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu. Ciolacu is from the National Liberal Party, the second-largest member of the ruling coalition, and took office as prime minister in June last year. On May 5 last year, the Social Democratic Party decided to leave the then-ruling coalition, and the party’s then-prime minister, Joracu, submitted his resignation that evening. (Xinhua News Agency)
