My phone just flashed a pop-up saying "Request Timeout," and I thought I was seeing things… When I clicked in, the red dot was gone again, and I find this kind of "lag" really annoying. To be honest, many times it's not that the chain has stopped, but that the layer of data you're viewing is struggling: RPC is rate-limited, the indexer queue is backed up, or the Subgraph hasn't caught up to the latest blocks. The data has already been updated on-chain, but on your end, it’s like watching a delayed live broadcast—you refresh ten times, and it’s still the same.

Recently, the back-and-forth over L2 TPS/fees/subsidies has been giving me a headache, but the first thing to break in terms of user experience is "whether the interface can handle the stress." When I see data that doesn’t look right, my first reaction isn’t to curse the project team; I’ll switch to a different RPC, check if it’s a 429/timeout, and if that doesn’t work, I’ll just verify with a block explorer. Signature failures are already annoying enough; don’t give me fake dead data to mess with my mindset… That’s all for now.
