The evil capitalists, the predatory AI, do you think AI will replace your job and take your livelihood? Wrong! AI is directly smashing your pot!

Recently, American tech giant Meat(, formerly Facebook), announced a 20% layoff, and the reason is actually because they previously invested too much money in AI by stacking computing power. Now they want to reduce costs through layoffs to increase investment in AI infrastructure.
I read in the report the exact words: "This move aims to offset the expensive investments in artificial intelligence infrastructure and prepare for higher efficiency brought by AI-assisted employees."
Another layer of meaning behind this statement is: AI is too costly, can't be sustained, so layoffs are used to cut labor costs and reinvest in AI; although AI hasn't yet played a huge role, layoffs are actually a preemptive measure to improve AI efficiency.
In the past, we naively thought that AI would improve company efficiency and replace our jobs, leading to layoffs. Now it seems we were too simple; before AI can boost productivity, these tech giants are already laying off staff in advance to compete in the tech arms race.
This is a very frightening phenomenon; the high investment in AI has caused a displacement effect on employment. Currently, this phenomenon is only appearing in Silicon Valley, USA.
For example, Microsoft plans to lay off 19k people in 2025, Amazon plans to cut 30k jobs in 2025, and Meta is expected to lay off 16k people. All are signs of AI investment causing employment displacement.
I sincerely hope this trend doesn't spread to Dongda, it's too brutal!#Gate13周年现场直击
