Last night, the TVL curve dipped down a bit again, and I immediately tensed up... then I turned around and checked cross-chain data, honestly there's no hope.

To put it simply, when doing a cross-chain, you trust more than you think: the chain's own consensus detects the issue; the message passing/relay system in the middle must not go offline or act maliciously; the verification code on the target chain must have no vulnerabilities; plus all those human elements like "bridge custodians/multisigs/oracles," if something goes wrong, you don't even know who to blame. IBC at least has a more "blockchain-like" logic, but you still have to trust that the other chain is alive, the client isn't broken, and the relayer is running... if any piece is missing, you're stuck, funds don't move, but your anxiety kicks in first.

Recently, there have been a bunch of testnet incentives and points, and everyone in the group is guessing whether the mainnet will issue tokens. I just want to say: while you're completing tasks, think about which components you’re actually trusting. Otherwise, if you don’t get the points or the bridge teaches you a lesson, it’s not worth it. Anyway, I’ll keep watching the charts.
