Recently, I’ve been bombarded with various social mining/points tasks, like signing in, sharing, joining groups, changing profile pictures… Basically, using time to exchange for a “possibly useful” identity. I thought I was quite disciplined, only watching for ten minutes a day as planned, but then I started comparing badge counts with a swipe, and my mindset immediately shifted to that of a worker, so I stopped even looking at the market.

The collapse points of blockchain games are actually quite similar: when inflation kicks in, studios enter the scene, and the coin prices spiral, turning “effort” into a consumable. The same goes for points— the more competitive, the less valuable they become, leaving only anxiety and screenshots.

I’ve now set a strict rule for myself: only do tasks that overlap with what I already need to do, everything else is just noise… Otherwise, I’m most afraid of changing my plans at the last minute and then blaming the market. That’s it for now.
