South Korea and France agree to strengthen cooperation on shipping safety in the Strait of Hormuz

South Korean President Lee Jae-myung and visiting French President Emmanuel Macron stated on the 3rd at Cheong Wa Dae after their meeting that the two sides will strengthen cooperation on shipping safety in the Strait of Hormuz.
The joint media statement issued after the meeting said that the two presidents decided to share policy experiences and relevant strategies to address the economic and energy crises caused by war, and to work together to reduce global economic uncertainty.
The statement said that to enhance energy security, the two countries will also expand cooperation in nuclear energy and offshore wind energy sectors. (Xinhua News Agency)
