Cognition is the world. When you stand in front of the stove, fish are ingredients; when you stand in front of the Buddha hall, fish are life; when you stand in front of the stall, fish are goods; when you stand by the riverbank, fish are scenery. The world you see is never the world itself, but your own cognition and perspective. With different viewpoints in the mind, the world appears in different forms.
