I just saw that Solana Mobile is discontinuing updates for the Solana Saga. I mean, less than two years after launch, and there’s no more security support or updates. Basically, just customer service, nothing more.
This news is quite shocking considering the phone was released at $1,000 not long ago ( then dropped to $599). They sold around 20,000 units, and now users are exposed to security risks. It’s a support cycle much shorter than what Apple or Google offer.
It seems they are pivoting everything toward the Seeker model, which already has over 150,000 pre-orders. But still, dropping the Saga without updates so quickly is a strange move. What do you all think, does anyone have the Saga?
