Iran's Supreme Leader warns of sinister plots; President and Speaker jointly denounce U.S. side
Iran’s Supreme Leader Mujtaba posted on social media on the evening of the 23rd, pointing out that the enemy is launching media propaganda in an attempt to manipulate the thoughts of the Iranian people and undermine Iran’s unity and security. He warned that the enemy’s vicious plot must never be allowed to succeed due to our own negligence. The social media account of Mujtaba wrote that the remarkable unity among fellow Iranians has already caused division within the enemy camp. That evening, Iranian President Pezeshkian and Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly Kalibaf jointly issued a statement on social media, refuting U.S. claims about “internal divisions” within Iran. The statement said that in Iran, there are no “hardliners” or “moderates”; “we are all Iranians, all revolutionaries.” With the country’s and the nation’s “steel-like unity” and loyalty to the Supreme Leader of Iran, Iran will make the invaders pay the price. On the same day, Iranian Foreign Minister Aragchi also posted on social media, emphasizing that the Iranian people are more united than ever before. Earlier that day, U.S. President Trump posted on social media, saying that “hardliners” and “moderates” in Iran are “fighting among themselves.” On the 21st, he said that the Iranian government is “seriously divided internally,” and at Pakistan’s request, he would extend the ceasefire until the Iranian side comes up with a proposal on which there is agreement.
