Aave Pauses rsETH Reserve Operations Across Ethereum and Other Networks to Contain Liquidation Risk
Aave paused rsETH reserve-related operations on Ethereum mainnet and Arbitrum, Base, Mantle, and Linea after an rsETH security incident, citing risk around the 95% liquidation threshold. Aave said the move is meant to prevent excess aETHrsETH withdrawals from pushing positions closer to liquidation. Aave said the pause is intended to preserve as much capital as possible while the asset recovery plan is underway. Aave said it will continue to disclose progress and resolution plans to the community.
