Today (April 21), China’s first Pre6G test network was officially put into operation in Nanjing, Jiangsu. The test network integrates 6G innovative technologies into 5G networks and has features such as high bandwidth, long-distance coverage, low-latency determinism, and AI native fusion, with capabilities that can reach 10 times those of 5G. Currently, the test network has carried out systematic verifications in fields including low-altitude inspections, industrial manufacturing, embodied intelligence, and holographic communications. The rollout of this test network marks a new stage in which 6G technology moves from verification of key technologies to verification of system capabilities, laying an important foundation for future 6G standardization and industrialized applications.
