Aave suspends reserve operations for rsETH on networks like Ethereum and Arbitrum to prevent the escalation of liquidation risks
ChainCatcher message, Aave announced the latest developments regarding the rsETH security incident on the X platform. The disclosure includes suspending rsETH reserve-related operations on the Ethereum mainnet and networks such as Arbitrum, Base, Mantle, and Linea to prevent excess aETH and rsETH from being withdrawn, thereby pushing the position closer to the 95% liquidation threshold.
This measure aims to preserve as much funds as possible during the asset recovery process and reduce systemic risk. Aave stated that further updates and disposal plans will continue to be disclosed to the community.
