Last night the network was a bit congested, and my swap was like waiting in line in the mempool to buy bubble tea... When you send it out, it's actually just a "registration," waiting among a bunch of unconfirmed transactions for miners/packagers to pick. If the gas fee is too low, it keeps getting pushed back; if it's too high, you feel bad about spending so much. Anyway, when it's stuck, it's easiest to get nervous and try to change the price or speed it up, but that often costs more money and doesn't necessarily make it faster.

I can also understand why everyone has been focusing on extreme funding rates recently, arguing in groups about whether to reverse or keep squeezing the bubble. Watching others go all-in in a single shot, I feel a bit envious of their courage... But I’m more like someone tending flowers, watering slowly. When there's congestion, I usually just leave it alone or try small amounts in batches, so I don't let emotions make me rush and panic in the queue.
