I just reviewed some historical data on Bitcoin and was thinking about the missed opportunities. It turns out that back in 2010, the price of BTC was practically a giveaway, just $0.30 per coin. Imagine this: with only $3.48, you could have accumulated 10 bitcoins at that time.

Now, those same 10 bitcoins are worth around $777,800 considering the current price of $77.78k per unit. We're talking about an increase of more than 200,000 times in value. It's the kind of profit that most people simply don't manage to generate in a lifetime of work.

The interesting thing is that many at that time saw Bitcoin as an experiment with no future. Few had the vision or courage to seriously bet during that window. Of course, it's easy to see clearly now looking back, but that's exactly what makes these numbers so brutal to contemplate. It's one of those reminders of how early opportunities in disruptive technology can completely change someone's financial destiny.
