Nobitex moved at least $2.3 billion since 2023 for sanctioned Iranian entities, Reuters reported. Reuters said the funds were believed to have been used to launder money for the Central Bank of Iran and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Reuters also said Iran has primarily used TRON and BNB Smart Chain to evade Western sanctions.
