I just realized that quantum computing is no longer just a theoretical plaything in the crypto industry. It is gradually becoming a real challenge that serious projects must now address.
What interests me most: experts expect that so-called quantum nodes could appear as early as 2029. That’s much sooner than many think. For comparison — most upgrade cycles in financial infrastructure take longer. This means blockchain protocols need to act now, not in a few years.
That’s why I’m watching how investors respond. They are deliberately directing their money in two directions: on one hand, into blockchain projects that have already switched to quantum-resistant encryption. On the other hand, into companies that specialize in security solutions in this area. This is no longer speculation; it’s structural risk management.
Quantum computing is thus becoming a driver of real security innovations. Those who don’t act now could be badly surprised later. Interestingly, this also creates new investment opportunities for those who take the topic seriously.
