BlockBeats News, April 22 — According to Iran’s Tasnim News Agency, Iran’s envoy stated that once the United States lifts the maritime blockade, Iran is prepared to hold negotiations. The Iranian official media released a video with a caption saying that Iran’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Amir Saeed Iravani, said that Tehran is ready to begin talks immediately after the U.S. ends the maritime blockade, and emphasized that Washington must first stop its actions of “violating the ceasefire agreement.”

After the report was released, the market reacted rapidly, with gold and silver rising in the short term, while the U.S. dollar and crude oil fell. Previously, outlets including the Associated Press and TASS had reported on the envoy’s remarks; this time, it is the first instance of Iranian official media linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps reporting the news.
