I can never quite hold onto my spot positions—once it rises a bit, I start thinking about locking in profits. Futures are even crazier: the moment I get an itch and open a big position, I just end up waiting to be “educated”… Later, I give myself some plain human sense: don’t think about making everything back in one go—first think about how not to get wiped out. Position size is like feeding a puppy; feed it a little more today and it might have diarrhea tomorrow. Only the portion you can sleep soundly with is truly yours. Recently, everyone’s been comparing RWA and U.S. Treasury bond yield rates with all kinds of on-chain yield products. I’ve been pretty tempted too, but let’s be real: no matter how sweet the returns are, once your position gets out of control, you’re just doing the market’s bidding. Anyway, for now I buy in a few bites, set a loss line I can accept in the worst case, and for anything complicated, I just observe from the sidelines without entering. When TVL really holds steady, then I’ll start wagging my tail.
