The US dollar index rose on the 2nd. The dollar index, which measures the dollar against six major currencies, increased by 0.38% for the day, closing at 100.024 at the end of the forex market. By the end of the New York trading session, 1 euro was exchanged for 1.1544 US dollars, down from 1.1607 dollars the previous trading day; 1 British pound was exchanged for 1.3227 US dollars, down from 1.3324 dollars the previous trading day. 1 US dollar was exchanged for 159.34 Japanese yen, up from 158.82 yen the previous day; 1 US dollar was exchanged for 0.7984 Swiss francs, up from 0.7931 Swiss francs the previous day; 1 US dollar was exchanged for 1.3921 Canadian dollars, up from 1.3895 Canadian dollars the previous day; 1 US dollar was exchanged for 9.4234 Swedish kronor, up from 9.3935 Swedish kronor the previous day.
