Czech police have charged a suspect who attacked the Russian Cultural Center in Prague with the crime of endangering public safety.

On April 2, local time, the Czech Police posted on social media that they have charged a suspect with “Crimes endangering public safety” over an attack on the Prague Russian Cultural Center. At present, the Czech Court has placed the suspect under pretrial detention pending trial. On March 27, the Russian Cultural Center in Prague, the Russian House, in the Czech capital, Prague, was targeted by an unidentified person who threw a Molotov cocktail. After the incident, both the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of the Interior condemned the attack, and the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Czech ambassador in Russia regarding the incident. Russia also submitted a formal request to the Czech side, calling for enhanced security at its diplomatic missions in the Czech Republic. (CCTV News)
