Airline fuel surcharge increase expectations strengthen, consumers start to buy tickets in advance to "stockpile"

International crude oil prices continue to fluctuate at high levels, and airline cost pressures are accelerating their transmission to customers. Recently, many domestic airlines have repeatedly increased fuel surcharges on international routes, with increases generally exceeding 50%, and some routes even doubling. Although the domestic market is still in the traditional off-season after the holiday, as expectations for fuel price hikes continue to strengthen, many consumers are starting to book travel tickets two weeks or even a month in advance, trying to lock in the relatively low travel costs currently available.
