📰 【Volo Under Attack, Losses of About $3.5 Million】

BlockBeats news, April 22 — The Sui ecosystem liquidity staking platform Volo said a security vulnerability incident occurred, with approximately $3.5 million worth of assets (including WBTC, XAUm, and USDC) stolen from three specific Vaults. After the incident, the team immediately notified the Sui Foundation and ecosystem partners, and froze all Vaults to prevent the losses from expanding. This vulnerability only involved three Vaults; the other Vaults do not have the same attack vector, and the other approximately $28 million in TVL assets are safe. The team will bear this loss themselves, will not pass the loss on to users, and will publish a complete post-incident report and remediation plan after the investigation is completed.
Another DeFi vault has been breached, $SUI — the cost of this education in the ecosystem really is high. The team covering the damage out of their own pocket shows their attitude, but shouldn’t the money for security audits be spent more than once? The TVL didn’t collapse entirely—luck this time, but it might not be so fortunate next time.
