Single-function microwave oven: I recently researched how to choose the best one, and it turns out that heating performance and ease of operation are really important. Sharp's RE-TD184 has an absolute humidity sensor with 1,000W output, and when I actually heated a bento box, the whole thing warmed evenly, which is highly rated. Its design is simple and has a luxurious feel. However, since the interior is only 18L, it seems suitable for single-person households.
If you're using it with family, Toshiba Lifestyle's ER-S10A might be better. It has a large 23L capacity, a flat type, and eight infrared sensors for accurate automatic heating. It also features a 1,000W inverter, making it one of the most powerful models. Additionally, Panasonic's NE-FL222 has a one-touch door opening feature that’s subtly convenient, and I heard its automatic mode is also highly accurate.
For cost performance, Toshiba's ER-NS170A is affordable at 14,414 yen. It has a simple dial operation, 17L capacity, and is just right for single living. It doesn't have an automatic mode, but manual operation seems sufficient for heating. If you're choosing the ultimate single-function microwave, it's important to first decide on the size and features that match your lifestyle. The ease of opening the door and other small details also affect usability.
