WSJ: Vance's Trip to Pakistan Uncertain, Trump Discusses Complete Cancellation

On April 22, according to WSJ, multiple sources reported that after a series of meetings within the White House, U.S. Vice President Vance has currently suspended his plans to travel to Pakistan on Tuesday to negotiate an end to the war with Iran. One source indicated that while Vance may still depart later this week (potentially as early as Tuesday evening local time), Trump is privately discussing the complete cancellation of the trip due to Tehran’s unwillingness to make concessions on its nuclear enrichment demands. Another source stated that the decision was made because Iran failed to commit to a meeting. The White House has not responded to requests for comments regarding the trip.
