A Philippine aircraft illegally entered the airspace near Meiji Reef in the Nansha Islands of China. The Southern Theater Command issued a warning and drove it away.

Southern Theater Command spokesperson Zhai Shichen, a Navy Rear Admiral, stated that on March 20, a Philippine C-208 aircraft entered airspace near China’s Nansha Miji Reef without permission from the Chinese government. The Chinese People’s Liberation Army Southern Theater Command organized naval and air forces to track, monitor, warn, and drive away the aircraft in accordance with laws and regulations. The Philippine side’s actions severely infringed on China’s sovereignty. We hereby warn the Philippines to immediately cease provocative infringements and jointly maintain peace and stability in the South China Sea. (CCTV News)
