I found the difference between grid/DCA and a single shot, to put it simply, it's whether you want to sleep or not... For a single shot, during the day you act tough and say "nothing's wrong," but at night when the funding rate becomes extreme, the group is again arguing whether it's a reversal or just more bubble squeezing. I can't help but pick up my phone, my heartbeat jumping along with the candlestick chart.
On the other hand, grid/DCA is quite boring, but being bored is actually lifesaving: following the plan, at worst just slowly getting worn down, at least I won't wake up in the middle of the night scared by myself.
Of course, the premise is not to be lazy.
Now every time I add to my position or open a trade, I force myself to look at the signature popup, check if the address is correct, if the authorization is unlimited—better to earn a little less than wake up one day to find I've been fish-hooked by a "grid"...
Even the hardware wallet is gathering dust, but I still press the buttons—physical buttons are my sleeping pills.
