"Review of 20 Theft Incidents: Why Is the Crypto Space Always Being Hacked?" (Author: Changan I Biteye Content Team)

The Biteye Content Team reviews 20 cases of crypto theft, revealing three major industry security risk trends: technical vulnerabilities still account for the majority, but social engineering and permission attacks have caused greater losses;
the attack surface is shifting from cross-chain bridges to internal protocol logic, oracles, and third-party dependencies;
at the same time, single-point incidents are increasingly propagating throughout the entire DeFi ecosystem.
The report states that among the 20 cases, the four largest losses all involved North Korean hackers, totaling over $2.5 billion, and protocols like Aave and Drift have also been significantly affected by external risk transmission.
