The Ministry of Foreign Affairs comments on Trump's remarks about Iran: Urges the parties involved to immediately cease military actions again

On April 2nd, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning hosted a routine press conference. A reporter asked: Trump stated that the United States will continue to launch fierce strikes against Iran for 2 to 3 weeks, and once again threatened that if Iran does not reach a negotiation solution with him, it will target Iran’s energy infrastructure. What is China’s comment on this? Mao Ning said that military means cannot fundamentally resolve the issue, and escalating conflicts is also not in the interests of any party. We once again urge the parties involved to immediately cease military actions, quickly initiate peace talks, and resolve issues through dialogue and negotiation to avoid causing more serious impacts on the world economy and global energy security.
